MIHAS Showcase 2010
Last Saturday my husband and i were at the Pavillion KL and KLCC .My two sons and daughter in law with my grand daughter also joined us We went there to do sight seeing and window shopping only because, the hotel where we stay in is nearby. We only have to walk 10-15 minutes to these locations. It really nice to just walk about at these places.Goods sold at these places are all branded goods and of course expensive too.I am not buying anything ,just walking about. We were there to take oppurtunity of our time sharing holiday package which will expire by october and in conjunction of MIHAS 2010 showcase.
The first day was spent at and around the golden triangle which is just a walking distance away. These complexes are full of people of all races from malay, chinese, indian, african, arabic and many more. The number grew by noon especially at the food pavillion or the food court. We were feeling hungry too and wanted to have our lunch there.Eating is no problem at these places. There are lot of menu to choose from. For me first thing is to look for the halal logos before i even find a place to seat. Okay, look like these places have their halal logo display at the food counter. We had our lunch and continue on with window shopping until we are are too tired to walk anymore.
On sunday, we went to IKEA.This is also another giant shopping area.Goods in here have their own speciallity and unique designs.Going round to just see the display make you enjoy the the afternoon even if your legs cannot take you to the whole area
I enjoyed admiring the displays. We went there at about 11.00 am so as to avoid traffic jam and to get a good location to park our car and by 2.00pm we are already hungry.Sad to say, there are no halal logos in any of the food stall in here. This surprise me and my family. Many malay families and arabic families are eating happily in here. Why no halal logo here?Anyway, we are not going to eat here and slowly we walk out of the place to have lunch some where else.
After lunch we wanted to see the MIHAS (MalaysiaInternational Halal) showcase at matrade but cannot find a parking space nearby. I decided to part from there and go straight home.Along the journey back home, i keep on thinking about the food court at IKEA.If we can organise such great event as MIHAS 2010 why is such an issue of halal logo/halal product at food court missed our attention. Delegates from all over the world will spend some times to do their shopping at these places. How do these places to complement the MIHAS 2010 showcase ??
